How to Fix the New Woo-Commerce WP Rocket Issues

Lawrence M • August 19, 2020

Below is a excerpt our team has recently recieved from the WP Rocket team. It seems that Wordpress' newest update may have broken many quality plugins + Wordpress/Wo0commerce - Websites. In short, we wanted to share this information and solution with you straight from the WP rocket team themselves.

Hi Lawrence,

We are sending this email to communicate important information that may impact your website if you’re using WooCommerce.

Yesterday, WooCommerce released a new version (4.4.0) which breaks themes and plugins, including WP Rocket.

We released a new version of WP Rocket (3.6.4) to avoid the conflict between WooCommerce and our plugin. We want to help you solve the problem if your site is still using WP Rocket and experiencing the conflict.

You can download and update for free this new version of WP Rocket (but please consider that this won’t reactivate your license nor give you access to support and future updates).

Download WP Rocket v3.6.4 from here.

---

Depending on your configuration, here are our suggestions on how to proceed:

  1. If WP Rocket is still active on your site, but you didn’t update WooCommerce to v4.4.0:
Update WP Rocket to v3.6.4 before updating WooCommerce to v4.4.0.

  2. If WP Rocket is not active on your site and you didn’t update WooCommerce to v4.4.0:
Activate WP Rocket and update it to v3.6.4 before updating WooCommerce to v4.4.0.

  3. If WP Rocket is not active on your site and you already updated WooCommerce to v4.4.0, you have two alternative options:
  • Update WP Rocket manually and reactivate it
    OR
  • Downgrade WooCommerce to 4.3.3, reactivate WP Rocket, and update it to v3.6.4; only then, update WooCommerce to v4.4.0.

Have a good day,

Dual Pixel Offers Exclusive llms.txt Upgrade for PIXL Websites to Boost AI Search Accuracy Dual Pixel, a leading design agency, is now offering an exclusive upgrade for websites built on its web platform, PIXL: the implementation of the llms.txt file. This new feature helps prepare your site for AI-powered search tools by providing clear, structured information designed specifically for Large Language Models (LLMs) like ChatGPT, Claude, and Perplexity. What is llms.txt and Why You Should Consider It llms.txt acts like a guide for AI tools, similar to how robots.txt helps search engines. It tells AI exactly what your website is about in clean, easy-to-read language. This means when AI tools look up your business, they will reference your actual content, not confusing or out-of-context code. How the Upgrade Works Upon request, Dual Pixel will enable the llms.txt feature on your PIXL-powered website. Once activated, every time you publish your site, PIXL will automatically generate an llms.txt file that includes: A list of your live URLs such as blog posts, products, categories, and pages in multiple languages Meta descriptions for each page (or meta titles if descriptions are missing) Only relevant content, excluding drafts and no-index pages This ensures your site provides AI tools with the most accurate and useful information available. Why This Upgrade Matters Most websites currently lack an llms.txt file, putting them at a disadvantage in the AI-driven internet landscape. With this upgrade, PIXL sites will be more likely to: Show accurate business information in AI responses Link directly to authentic site content Represent your brand professionally across AI platforms Want This Upgrade for Your Site? Dual Pixel teamed up with Built Bar to create an engaging motion graphics video that showcases the delicious flavors of their protein bars. The concept revolved around a dynamic tornado of vibrant ingredients—such as nuts, chocolate, and fruit—being swirled together and packed into a Built Bar. This creative approach aimed to visually highlight the product's appeal while capturing the attention of potential customers.
