Thousands of passionate hunters packed Old National Centre Theatre in January for the Annual Badlands Film Festival. Films from both amateur and professional filmmakers were shown to the crowd's delight. The end of the evening included a live "text-vote" from the audience to crown the night's winners. Thousands of dollars in prizes were also given away to show-goers from generous sponsors including Garmin, BaseMap, Fourth Arrow, Vortex Optics, Bakcou Bikes and others.

This is where the Dual Pixel team really shines. We wanted to create "double exposure" style illustrations that are more art than photos. Film is an art form and we wanted the supporting material to match the events mantra.
We wanted the blending of man and nature for each banner in the theater. The results were eye catching, serene and set a precedent for the Badlands Film Festival event.
In 2018 Badlands thought it would be awesome to show of classic movie posters as if Badlands directed the movie. These posters and advertisements were to create buzz and get people talking about the Badlands Film Festival. Needless to say they got a few laughs, which means they had plenty of views.
After creating what seemed to be the funniest parody posters in the world we were tasked with creating brand-centric social media posts.
These posts were to stay true to the Badlands brand and film event branding. The success rate due to Dual Pixel's graphic design solution showed in the attendance of the latest film festival.
The Badlands Film Festival video edit was at the top of the list concerning the funnest portion of the project. We wanted the intro to get the view pumped for the next hour and a half of films and short films. We found music that fit the epic-ness of the hunt and cut through hours and hours of footage. The results can be found below.
